About the Event

Arbroath Courthouse Community Trust is delighted to host North East Sensory Services (NESS) for an Information Open Day. This free, drop-in event is open to everyone and offers a chance to learn more about the vital services NESS provides for people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf, or hard of hearing across the North East of Scotland.

Visitors are warmly invited to:

Come in for a chat and a cup of coffee with the friendly NESS team.

Access information and support from the wide range of professional services within NESS.

Explore specialist equipment and resources designed to support independence.

Find out how to get involved — whether as a service user, volunteer, or supporter.

The day will also provide an opportunity to see the ongoing transformation of Arbroath Courthouse, which is being redeveloped into a vibrant, inclusive community hub.

About NESS

Founded in 1879 as the Aberdeen Town and County Association for Teaching the Blind at their Homes, NESS has evolved into Scotland’s leading provider of integrated sensory services.

Over its long history — from the Grampian Society for the Blind to today’s North East Sensory Services — NESS has continually expanded its reach and services. Today, it supports over 6,500 people with sensory loss across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray, Dundee, and Angus.
