Join Dundee-based astronomer and science writer David Darling for an inspiring talk exploring his journey into writing and the stories behind his work.

David will share what first sparked his passion for science, how he became a full-time author, and the unexpected twists and turns along the way. Drawing on decades of experience, he’ll also reflect on the challenges and rewards of communicating complex ideas in a way that captures imagination and curiosity.

Originally from Derbyshire, David holds a PhD in astronomy and has written more than 50 books covering a wide range of topics — from the origins of the universe to the science of music. He has lived in Dundee for over 20 years and continues to write and engage audiences through his work.
